Terry’s Chimney Service Store
The natural extension of installing and repairing fireplaces, pellet, gas, and wood stoves is selling them. I have been around stoves for thirty-two years, and have heated my own homes with stoves for all but two of those years. After operating the chimney service in northern New Mexico since 2006, it became apparent to me that there was a need in my community for a stove and fireplace operation that handled, in house, the sale, installation and service of these alternative fuel appliances. Located on the main street on the "north" side of the historic district in Taos, New Mexico, Terry's Chimney Service offers a variety of stove brands with a variety of pricing.

To satisfy traditionalists, I carry the Travis Industries Avalon brand of stoves. They are made in the USA, are all EPA certified Phase 2 stoves, and are available in wood, gas and pellet burning models.

From Europe, I have a very efficient Belgium stove made by Efel. It is the Nestor-Martin R-33, and has a contemporary industrial look available in Graphite Gray or with an Alumat Silver door. I also carry models from Wittus, which has the finest selection of contemporary European stoves.
Perhaps the most recognizable brand names of cast iron stoves in America are Vermont Castings and its sister company Dutchwest Stoves. Still made in Vermont and Kentucky respectively, both lines offer non-catalytic models which I favor for their simplicity and efficiency. The Vermont Castings line are available in black cast iron or enamel finishes and come in a variety of sizes for different gas or wood heating applications. The Dutchwest brand arguably offers the most value for the dollar when it comes to cast iron stoves. They offer a "Value Line" of steel stoves with cast doors. I carry the elegant enameled Vermont Castings Vented Gas Stoves as well as Vermont Castings Non-catalytic Wood Stoves.
The Canadian brand stoves in the store are from Flame. They are EPA certified and good performers, with an air wash to prevent soot build-up on the glass doors and have ash drawers for convenience.

From the US Stove Company, I have several EPA certified steel stoves on pedestal bases, the venerable Ashley wood burner, and for those on or off the grid, a cast iron cook stove with six cooking plates, optional oven warmers and the ability to burn wood or coal.

In addition, we do buy and sell pre-owned stoves in good condition, and based on availability.
